As the iMac is old and has reached the point where it's software cannot be updated further, I can't do anything about the forums' advertising if I use the Safari default browser. Using the Safari browser on the iMac results in the O&AL forums being murderously slow and unpredictable and this is plainly due to the horizontal and vertical advertising that displays on the forum's webpages. I access the O&AL forums via an elderly late-2009 Apple iMac or via a more recent Apple iPad. I can't really advise on this as I don't suffer from the problem. I can't find any programs or apps under the name Connatix. I've run various scans, but nothing is detected, so I assume it is a 'resident' program. Firm claims to be based in New York, Romania, and Tel Aviv.Ī right click on the clip yields no information at all, and the 'off button' says only 'Close Player' which, as above, it does - only for another to appear when I change forum page.ĭoes anyone know what this 'player' is, and how I can get rid of it? that is used by those website operators who wish to take as much space as possible to say nothing useful. I can turn them off as they appear, but as soon as I change the forum page, up pops another. I assume some others may also be suffering?
